It's almost half way through the year... how are your goals?

July 2nd is the half way mark of 2020. Can you believe it? We are half way through the year. So. Much. Has. Happened. And, I'm betting, so much hasn't happened, too. You know. All those good intentions, plans, habits, goals that you were going to conquer in January just kind of went pfft.
That's ok. It's time for the annual half way mark review and this year it's also time to just rethink it all and rewrite what your NEW goals for 2020 are. We are different people since the beginning of the global pandemic and Black Lives Matter movement reignited. And we should be. People have died and our view of humanity and our role in it is changing. Even without that... we have literally been not focused on our lists. Come on. Be honest. You can't even find your original goals or your work plan is buried under a stack of paper. Again, it's ok. Let's sift and shift it out to finish out 2020 where you want it to be.

Let's Make it Happen in 2020 - Mid Year Goal Review
1. Make a List of ALL that was Awesome in 2020 (so far). I know that the year has been shit, but that doesn't mean that good things haven't happened. Let's start this moment with remembering the good stuff.
2. Make a List of the Goals You Made for 2020. It doesn't matter if you did them or not... just rewrite the list.
3. Questions to Ask Yourself Where You are Today
What Really Matters in My Life & Work Right Now?
What Habit Do I Want to Make Happen?
What Am I Doing That Doesn’t Seem To Be Working?
What Would Make the Most Difference to My Life & Work if it Happened?
Who Do I need to Connect to this Year?
4. Dream a Little About New Possibilities for 2020. The world has changed and you could do some new things that inspire you now - make this list.
5. Combine your Dreams (4) and Your Remaining 2020 List that Still Matters to You (2). This is your NEW 2020 Goals List. Think about the next half of the year and what you can really make happen.
Refocusing midyear is NORMAL - even when the world hasn't changed so much. It's a common practice and one that I recommend for personal and organization/business goals. Moving forward only matters if we are taking a bit of time to reflect on where we are and if that is still working for us.
