Things I'm doing not to freak out.

I started to panic yesterday because of my busy week next week and realized that's not necessary... that stopped it a little. Then I made a list of things I'm doing not to freak out, in general, this year.
THE LIST:
I'm menu planning. I'm writing an actual menu and posting it on the refrigerator. I'm doing this because knowing what I'm going to make for dinner can be a huge freak out if I'm hangry.
I'm writing a to do list everyday. Knowing what I have to get done (even if I don't get it all done) keeps me focused and less distracted by all the bits and bots.
I've created a personal tracker. I'm making sure that I'm lifting weights 4 times a week, not scrolling in the evening, doing yoga, writing and working on my Haiku book. It helps to x that little circle each time it happens.
I'm documenting my month in my It's Currently 2020 book. This has helped me realize what I'm doing and not letting things just slip away into the oblivion.
I'm writing down all of the bills I pay. Sure, I have Mint, but by writing them down I'm conscious of what I'm spending each month. It's not just "happening" and I have a feeling of empowerment over my money.
I'm looking at and writing down my bank balance every Friday. Knowing what's really in there is helpful. Especially when you get hit with a $700+ propane tank repair charge that you didn't/couldn't expect.
I'm have my weekly focus for cleaning each week (I do a deeper clean in one room/area a month) and a whole house clean on Sunday.
I'm doing a quick clean up each night and throwing in a load of laundry making morning much nicer.
I'm sticking to my morning routine of meditation and writing - even if I only have 10 minutes.
I have a list of projects I'm working on personally and for work and I'm making sure that I'm touching on them each week to see where they are and what needs to be done. That way, nothing is slipping through the cracks and I feel less out of control with the sheer number of things I'm working on.
Little things that make a difference... that's all it ever really is. Just little things that make a difference. What are you doing to make things a little less cray cray in your world?

I'm consulting in Wisconsin in March and when I spoke to them this week they said that people are willing to stay over to meet with me one on one, "you're very popular". It was a nice thing to hear. If you need practical marketing consults for your business I'm scheduling April - June. And if you need a speaker for your event email me and let's chat. As usual, you can find my day to day in Instagram stories and we can connect on LinkedIn.
